Background: Born in 1961, 49 years old. Lived all this life in Mopti, quartier Toguel. His family is all there.
He is married and has 3 daughters, of 30, 26 and 3 years old.
Religion is Moslim. Yacouba speaks Bambara, Peul and French.
He didn’t have had teh opportunity to go to school, but learned some reading and writing by himself.
He started with wood work but did not go far in it.
In 1982 he started to learn about car electricity with a master. After that he learned about electricity for in the houses. Since 1990 he work for himself as electrician. He makes installation for electricity in the rooms, also at Here Bugu. Yvonne and Baba informed him about the windmill course. He liked to join but it gives a problem because in the time he working here he cannot do his other work. To solve this his apprentices work for him, and he has to pay them. They can call him for questions but some work is waiting now.
He likes to do the windmill course because he gets more experience and it is helping in his work. For the future, the saturdays, he can come if he is not busy, but it depends on his customers if there is possibility.
Baba asked him to be leader of the group because he is the oldest. He agreed and also the whole group agreed. It is not easy to be the leader, he has to be careful and keep control on everything that is happening, keep an eye on them. Everyday he is thinking if he is doing well as leader. He likes to hear if he has to change and needs help. For him to be the leader of this group is different then his other work in Mopti.
Yacouba likes to get employed at the future wind turbine company. He likes to go on with it and can not leave it.
Wind energy is a future technology, because electricity is part of life, and with wind energy there is no problem like there is with nuclear energy. (this can spoil and damage and used in fighting and war).
Yacouba wants to go on with training and train others also in future.
Every time he gets more knowledge.
Yacouba knows about the electrical systems of refridgerators, air conditioners, and he is working together with two others. They know the work, but the problem is they do not have a place yet. Also they do not have the tools that are needed. He needs more help for his own shop.
